Abstract
The formation of self-assembled CdSe quantum dots on ZnSe by a reorgan ization process occurring during growth interruption and thermal activ ation is demonstrated. Optical data yield a dot size in the 3-5 nm ran ge and a density of 10(10)-10(11) Cm-2. Our measurements reveal a comp lex coupling with lattice vibrations. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
