Abstract
We report on cavity polaritons arising from the strong coupling betwee n quantum well excitons and the Fabry-Perot mode of a CdTe-based micro cavity at 4 K. The sample, fully grown by molecular beam epitaxy, is a 3 lambda/2 cavity containing six CdTe quantum wells, embedded in CdMn Te/CdMgTe Bragg reflectors. The wedge-shaped structure of the sample a llows the study of a multiple anticrossing between the photon mode and three excitonic levels: E1H1(1s), E1H1(2s) and E1L1(1s). This provide s an accurate determination of the oscillator strength for each excito n. Finally, the Rabi splitting for the E1H1(1s) exciton is measured ve rsus temperature up to 270 K.
