Qx. Zhao et al., THE ELECTRON AND HOLE G-FACTORS IN CDTE CDMGTE QUANTUM-WELLS AND CDTE/ZNTE IRREGULAR SUPERLATTICE STRUCTURES/, Journal of crystal growth, 185, 1998, pp. 835-838
Single CdTe/CdMgTe quantum well (QW) structure and CdTe/ZnTe irregular
superlattice structures grown by molecular beam epitaxy are investiga
ted by stationary and time-resolved photoluminescence in the presence
of an applied magnetic field. We study the well width dependence of th
e electron and hole g-factors by combining Zeeman measurements and the
recently developed spin quantum beats technique. The experimental res
ults show that both the electron and hole g-factors have the same sign
in wide QWs and increase with decreasing well width. It is also found
that the hole g-factor of the excited excitonic states is significant
ly larger than the hole g-factor of the ground excitonic state in the
irregular superlattice structure. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All r
