Abstract
CdTe and ZnSe based semimagnetic asymmetric double quantum wells (ADQW s) have been fabricated. Pronounced magneto-optical anisotropies were found in either case on varying the angle between the sample normal an d the direction of an applied magnetic field. The energies and wavefun ctions of the excitons are calculated and are compared to the experime ntal results from ADQWs with strongly and weakly coupled wells. (C) 19 98 Elsevier Science B.V.
