The s,p-d exchange interaction of hexagonal CdCrS is studied by means
of Raman scattering and exciton magnetoreflectance. Analysis of Raman
data yields s-d exchange parameter N-0 alpha = + 0.21 eV. Combining th
is parameter with the heavy-hole exciton splitting we evaluated the p-
d exchange parameter N-0 beta = + 0.42 eV. The s,pd exchange parameter
s are used for interpretation of the exciton splitting in magnetic fie
