Ii. Lyapilin, THERMOMAGNETIC EFFECTS IN A 2-DIMENSIONAL SYSTEM CONTAINING MIXED-VALENCE IMPURITIES, Journal of crystal growth, 185, 1998, pp. 1200-1203
The results of calculation of the transverse Nernst-Ettinsgausen (NE)
effect in a two-dimensional system containing mixed-valence impurities
are presented. It is shown that the NE coefficient changes sign at lo
w temperatures and when the iron content is fairly high. The unusual d
ependence of the NE effect on iron content in the two-dimensional (HgS
e:Fe) system at low temperatures is caused by electron scattering on t
he aggregate of charged donors Fe(3+). At low temperatures and high co
ncentration of iron ions the system of charged donors is the strongly
correlated Coulomb liquid. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights r
