Abstract
Growing twins were revealed in lithium tetraborate single crystals. Th e twinning takes place according to Dauphine rule with twinning axes [ 1 0 0] and [0 1 0]. The regularity of twin's creation is explained by means of crystal lattice. The effect of twinning on physical propertie s of TBL is discussed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reser ved.
