S. Webster et al., APPLICATION OF FLUORESCENCE SCANNING NEAR-FIELD OPTICAL MICROSCOPY TOTHE STUDY OF PHASE-SEPARATED CONJUGATED POLYMERS, Ultramicroscopy, 71(1-4), 1998, pp. 275-279
Phase-separated films of blends of a conjugated polymer and an electri
cally inert matrix polymer have been studied with fluorescence near-fi
eld optical microscopy. The composition of the blend is observed to ha
ve a dramatic effect on the morphology of the film. Simultaneous shear
force microscopy reveals topographic differences between the two poly
mers in the films. Annealing of the films is shown to efficiently cont
rol this topography. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserve
