Abstract
This article identifies key challenges that arise in governing public- private partnerships designed to improve community health status. Usin g telephone interview and focus group data, we describe how the 25 pub lic-private community health partnerships participating in the Communi ty Care Networks(SM) (CCN) Demonstration Program grapple with three in terrelated clusters of governance issues: turf, community accountabili ty, and growth and development.
