K. Moser et al., PERSONALITY AND COUNTERPRODUCTIVE BEHAVIO R IN ORGANIZATIONS - RESULTS OF A PILOT-STUDY, Zeitschrift fur Arbeits- und Organisationspsychologie, 42(2), 1998, pp. 89-94
75 white-collar workers with professional experience working in variou
s German organizations filled out a questionnaire containing items on
counterproductive behavior in organizations as well as three scales of
the NEO-FFI. Two aspects of counterproductive behavior were discerned
: ''theft in a broadest sense'' is negatively correlated with conscien
tiousness, whereas ''uncooperativeness'' is negatively correlated with
conscientiousness, extraversion and agreeableness. Contrary to expect
ations, no positive relation between extraversion and ''theft in a bro
ad sense'' was found.
