Abstract
Recommendations for broadening experimental analyses to include instit utional frames are occurring more frequently in the literature. We rep ort the results of a simple two-stage institutional framing experiment . First, cooperatives and entrepreneur business-strategy frames are ge nerated. Second, same sex groups play a public good provision game. Th e results suggest that cooperative or non-cooperative solutions may be elicited via institutional frames which implicate business standards of teamwork or autonomy, respectively. Additionally, differences in me an responses between males and females under each business strategy fr ame were insignificant. Finally, possible motivational factors were ex amined using regression analysis. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
