Abstract
The 2 beta-carbomethoxy group in cocaine and WIN 35,065-2 can be repla ced by a number of other groups with little or no loss in binding affi nity to the DAT. Structure-activity relationship (SAR) studies of some 3 beta-aryl-2 beta-substituted tropanes are reviewed in this article.
