Abstract
In the competitive environment of today's chemical industry, an effici ent approach of experimentation is necessary in all facets of research and development. This article discusses the tools of statistical mode ling and design in this perspective, and reports the development of a program for the increased use of these tools at Hoechst Celanese Corpo ration, an international chemistry and polymers company based in New J ersey, USA.
