Ag. Belous et al., MICROSTRUCTURE AND SEMICONDUCTING PROPERTIES OF BARIUM-TITANATE CONTAINING HETEROVALENT SUBSTITUENTS ON THE TITANIUM SITE, Inorganic materials, 34(6), 1998, pp. 597-601
The properties of semiconducting BaTiO3 containing heterovalent substi
tuents on the titanium site were studied by thermogravimetry, x-ray di
ffraction, and electron microscopy. Heterovalent dopants do not change
the sequence of chemical reactions involved in the synthesis of BaTiO
3 but affect the phase composition of the ceramics. The varistor behav
ior of doped barium titanate depends on its microstructure.
