This paper reports the use of SnO2 antireflection coatings deposited t
hrough direct liquid spraying of an aqueous solution of SnCl4 on rando
mly upward pyramid textured (100)-Si solar cells. In spite of the adve
rse characteristic of the process used, the pyramid-like texture was p
reserved after the film deposition. The hemispherical reflectance of t
he sprayed-SnO2/textured-Si structure was comparable to those obtained
using conventional techniques.
