Abstract
This article reviews the thematic apperception tests that are currentl y available to the practitioner for child and adolescent assessment Be sides the well-established CAT and TAT, various new tests have been de veloped to address contemporary issues relevant to young children and adolescents. The discussion of the comparative strengths and weaknesse s of these instruments is related to issues of test validity and relia bility.
