Abstract
beta-FeSi2 doped with various amounts of cobalt (n-type) and aluminum (p-type) was prepared by mechanochemical synthesis. Depending on synth esis conditions, the 400-K thermoelectric power of the resultant mater ials varies from 2 to 800 mu V/K.
