Abstract
Based on the fast Fourier transform and successive iteration method, t he forward and backward simulation codes have been presented, and the inverse problem of the multipass amplifier system containing a spatial filter has been solved. Numerical calculation examples have been give n and illustrated. The method and results obtained in this paper would be useful for the design of multipass laser amplifiers.
