Abstract
This study investigated the impact of three physician-hospital contrac tual arrangements (PHCAs)-joint ventures, management service organizat ions, and not-for-profit foundations-on physician involvement in hospi tal governance and physician-hospital relationships, Analysis of data collected from a national sample of 1,013 hospitals revealed that PHCA s generate greater physician.
