Indium-doped lead telluride crystals, Pb1-xInxTe, x=0.01-0.065, are gr
own by the vapor-liquid-solid technique. The indium content of the cry
stals is assessed by x-ray diffraction, using the known composition de
pendence of the unit-cell parameter. The effect of the starting-charge
composition, (Pb1-xInx)(1-y)Te-y (y=0.50-0.54), on the indium content
is examined.
