Abstract
The roentgeno- and thermoluminescent properties of CdBr2:AgCl single c rystals grown by the Stockbarger technique were studied before and aft er ultraviolet irradiation. The results indicate that irradiation-indu ced absorption in this photochromic material can be attributed to phot olysis of the parent crystal and photochemical transformations of acti vator-related centers. The nature of the emitting and trapping centers is discussed.
