Abstract
Anisotropy effects in the orbital magnetic susceptibility of electrons in a spheroidal quantum dot are investigated by applying tilted magne tic field with parabolic confinement potential. The results show drama tic phase change; magnetic susceptibility as a function of the electro n concentration changes from para- or diamagnetic in the case of aniso tropic quantum dot to diamagnetic only in the isotropic case. Temperat ure, field and tilted angle dependences are also extensively studied. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
