Abstract
Dopant-modulated sapphire crystals with combinations of various struct ures in one sample have been prepared in situ by the growth from an el ement of shape (GES) method. Ti3+ is the primary dopant element used. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
