Abstract
Nd:Gd0.8La0.2VO4 single crystal with zircon structure was successfully grown by the Czochralski method, and the lattice constants are a = b = 0.7139(1) nm, c = 0.6360(1) nm. The polarization absorption spectra were measured from 400 to 850 nm. the polarization emission spectra fr om 1053 to 1075 nm are measured. 948 mW power laser at 1.06 mu m was a chieved with 1 mm thick Nd:Gd0.8La0.2VO4 crystal sample when pumped by a 1.9 W cw laser diode.
