Different alloys of Ti-Al have been prepared using an are furnace unde
r inert atmosphere. The liquid melt has been cast with a rapid solidif
ication technique. The main purpose of this investigation is to explor
e the intermetallic phases obtained under this casting process and als
o the structural relationships between all the phases obtained in thes
e types of alloys. The structural characterization of the specimens ha
s been carried out using X-ray diffraction techniques. Chemical and mo
rphological characteristics have been obtained using an analytical sca
nning electron microscope. Finally, some structural characteristics of
the alloys have been obtained using an analytical transmission electr
