Abstract
In recent months, the debate concerning the labeling of food products containing Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO's) has captured the att ention of the industry. While the reviews by competent scientific and governmental groups indicate that these products are safe and pose no threat to the current food supply, public opinion research clearly ind icates that consumers would like more information about the foods they eat. More specifically, consumers would like to have a choice regardi ng consumption of foods derived from genetically modified ingredients.
