Abstract
LnCo(1-x)Mn(x)O(3+/-delta) (Ln = Pr, Nd; x = 0.25, 0.50, 0.75) solid s olutions were synthesized, and their structure was studied. The oxygen content of the solid solutions was determined by thermogravimetry in air at temperatures between 700 and 1200 degrees C. The results are co mpared with those for LnMnO(3+delta) and LnCoO(3-delta), and the oxyge n stoichiometry of the materials is correlated with the oxidation stat e of the 3d transition metal.
