A General Model for Estimating ED 100p for Binary Response Dose-Response Data

A class of models, indexed by two shape parameters, was proposed as a generalization to the standard logistic model by Stukel (1988).In the context of binary response dose.response models, this class provides a more general framework for estimating the dose associated with a specific risk.Expressions for the maximum likelihood estimates and standard errors of such a dose are presented.In cases where the logistic model fitted poorly in the tails, improved dose estimates were obtained.
