In this section, The American Statistician publishes the following:ordered Announcements of new computer software and updates;ordered Announcements of new computing products that may be of assistance to statisticians;ordered Summaries of selected committee reports dealing with statistical computing;ordered Brief notices of sources for further information.Authors, producers, or distributors wishing to have such materials announced are invited to submit information according to the style guidelines published in the August 1982 issue of The American Statistician.Submissions should be made to Section Editor H. Joseph Newton, Institute of Statistics, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas 77843.Four copies of the information (double-spaced) should be provided.See any recent issue of The American Statistician to determine the proper format.Published articles will not include listings of programs, but one listing should normally be submitted to the section editor.The description of a program or other product in this section should not be construed as an endorsement of it by the American Statistical Association or its committees, nor is any warranty implied about the validity of the software or the quality of the product.
