Abstract
Judges are trained to decide questions of law.Giving them final power to decide which technological risks are acceptable to the public is dangerous: (a) it can preempt the people's right to govern themselves by giving too much power to life-tenured judges; (b) it risks injuring the heartbeat of a free society.the administration of justice.in its potential for loss of respect for the courts and the law.
