Graphs for use with the Lilliefors Test for Normal and Exponential Distributions

Graphs are presented on which the empirical distribution function can be plotted to test the assumption of normality by the Lilliefors test.A second set of graphs is presented for using the Lilliefors test on exponential distributions.The graphs allow for tests at the 10 percent, 5 percent, and 1 percent levels of significance.Use of these graphs makes it easy for students in a first course in statistics to test normal and exponential distributions without having to unravel the mystery associated with putting together a chi-squared goodness-of-fit test.
