Abstract
A procedure is given for finding independent, jointly sufficient statistics for parameters, when sufficient statistics exist, and for finding the distribution of one of the statistics.It involves finding the joint conditional pdf of all but one sample observation, given the value of one of the original jointly sufficient statistics.
