A Note on the Uniformity Assumption in the Birthday Problem

If 23 people are selected at random from some large population whose birthdays are uniformly distributed throughout the year, then it is well-known that the chances are better than even that at least two of them will have the same birthday.In this note it is shown that this is true for any distribution of birthdays.
