73 samples of mineral, table and drinking water have been analyzed for
organic chemical micropollutants by an automatic system of Online - s
olid phase extraction - gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. Using ms
scan acquisition trace components within the gc region of the alkanes
CII-CUI can be identified and quantified above a limit of detection o
f about 0.2 mu g/liter. Contaminants have been found in 50 samples (68
.5 per cent). In most cases it have been additives of plastic material
like softeners and antioxidants. Migration studies have been run to c
heck the influence of the bottle caps. Furtheron other micropollutants
have been detected like 2-Ethylhexanoic acid, Tributylacetylcitrate,
Benzophenone and traces of mineral oil (alkanes).
