Abstract
Three classes of objects evolve inside the present Fe-Mo-C steel durin g annealing: austenite grains, intra and inter-granular M6C carbides. These populations are separated using transformations based on mathema tical morphology. Size measurements (equivalent diameter) enable the a nalysis of the mechanisms through comparison with growth models.
