Abstract
The Generalized Clemens Coupling R-0-RSRR and its variant mechanisms R -0-SRRR, R-0-RRSR and R-0-RRRS are kinematically analysed by using the vector algebraic method. The closed-form input-output displacement eq uations of those mechanisms are derived as fourth-order polynomials. A s compared to previous related works, the new approach presented in th is paper is characterized by its standard analysis steps, compact expr essions and simplicity. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
