Magnetic and electric properties of solid solutions between ScCo2Sn (M
nCu2Al structure) and ScCoSn (TiNiSi structure) were measured. The ran
ge of ScCo2-xSn solid solutions at 600 degrees C was found to be 0 les
s than or equal to x < 0.3. With increasing x, the lattice parameter o
f ScCo2-xSn decreases insignificantly, whereas the ferromagnetic prope
rties of the alloys become strongly suppressed. Both electrical resist
ivity and thermopower are rather large. Resistivity increases linearly
with temperature.
