Yn. Velikhov et Im. Pritula, TEMPERATURE EFFECTS ON THE GROWTH-KINETICS AND OPTICAL-PROPERTIES OF POTASSIUM DIHYDROGEN PHOSPHATE CRYSTALS, Inorganic materials, 33(7), 1997, pp. 732-735
The temperature effects on the growth kinetics of KDP crystals are stu
died as a function of solution composition. The activation energy for
the temperature variation of critical supersaturation is calculated. T
he absorption coefficient of growth solutions and KDP crystals grown a
t different temperatures is measured in the range 200-400 nm. At eleva
ted growth temperatures, better optical properties of the crystals and
higher growth rates can be attained.
