Abstract
The influence of structural defects on the microwave-dehydration behav ior of CaSO4 . 2H(2)O crystals is studied by positron annihilation and radiothermoluminescence. It is found that, during water removal, the diffusion of water molecules proceeds through both vacancies and disor dered regions.
