Voice and data over frame relay is an increasingly popular form of int
egrated access for intra-company communications. The main reasons behi
nd its popularity are financial: the near-zero marginal cost of voice
connections and the flat tariff nature of frame relay permanent these
financial benefits lie potential quality problems, due to factors such
as the delays found in statistical multiplexed networks and the aggre
ssive compression techniques used to keep down the bandwidth requireme
nts.
