Kj. Hutter et al., STUDY OF DIFFERENT SPECIES OF BARLEY WITH THE HELP OF THE LUMINESCENCE METHOD, Monatsschrift fur Brauwissenschaft, 47(7-8), 1994, pp. 237-242
Biophotonen analysis, a relatively new version of luminescence detecti
on is able to directly and quickly prove ultraweak light emissions wit
h highly sensitive photodetectors. The measurable photonen emission is
up to 10(10) times weaker than the generally known bioluminescence. W
ithout any doubt the advantages of this method are to be found in the
fact that the barley specimens can be analysed without being destructe
d. The aim of these experiments were to employ the method be able to d
ifferentiate between different commercial barleys and their vitality.
